Get Hands On at Commerce Bank

Commerce Bank offers full-time, paid internship opportunities each summer to students looking to gain hands-on experience in their field of study.  The program starts at the end of May and ends in early August.  We look for junior and seniors pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Technology and others.  Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and be available to work in downtown Kansas City, MO or St. Louis, MO during the internship period.  Strong communication and computer skills, a positive attitude, professional demeanor and the ability to work independently is required.

The program is structured to provide challenging and meaningful work within one of our departments along with an opportunity to work on special projects both individually and within a team environment.  Our interns will be expected to perform tasks on their own but will be provided with a mentor to guide them and provide coaching.  The program will also consist of weekly opportunities to interact with the other interns and to learn more about Commerce Bank and its various lines of businesses.  Development and training courses will be offered and the interns will have various opportunities to interact with executive management.

We strive to be an employer of choice in the communities we serve. By doing so, we can deliver the best products and financial services to our customers and business partners.

Our internship recruiting cycle usually begins in November and ends in April. We encourage interested students to connect with Commerce for updates on application deadlines and upcoming events.
