COMMERCE BANK ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS IN COMMERCIAL BANKING DIVISION

(Springfield, MO – February 10, 2009) Byron Pierce has been promoted to senior vice president and team leader, Commercial Banking Division. Pierce is responsible for managing the Commercial team’s business development goals and overseeing relationship management related to the bank’s commercial lending and business banking products. He has 8 years of business banking and lending experience with Commerce and prior to his promotion served as a vice president and commercial lender.

A graduate of McMurry University, Abilene, Texas, Pierce received his bachelor’s of science degree in business administration in 1999. Active in the community, he serves on the finance committee for Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, he is involved in the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, formerly serving on the Manufacturer Council and Agricultural Committee.

Crystal Sharp has been promoted to commercial real estate loan officer. Her responsibilities include developing and managing customer relationships related to the bank’s commercial real estate and residential construction lending products and services. Sharp is a 2001 graduate of Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in business finance and management and a minor in communications. She is active in civic and charitable initiatives, including American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and a volunteer for Developmental Center of the Ozarks.
