KIRK APPOINTED ON COMMITTEE FOR MISSOURI BANKERS ASSOCIATION

(SPRINGFIELD, MO, September 6, 2001) - Paul Kirk, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, The Commerce Trust Company, a division of Commerce Bank, has been appointed to serve on the Trust Services Committee of the Missouri Bankers Association (MBA). Committee members work with the Trust Services Division of the Kansas Bankers Association to plan an annual MOKAN Trust conference for bankers in Missouri and Kansas. The Missouri Bankers Association is a statewide trade and professional organization that represents the interests of 371 banks and savings and loans in Missouri. Its members have more than 30,000 employees who work in 1,785 locations throughout the state.
