HINTON PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
SPRINGFIELD, MO - October 7, 2002 - Robin E. Robeson, senior vice president and market executive, The Commerce Trust Company, recently announced that Kristi Hinton has been promoted to Vice President and Business Development Officer. An attorney, Hinton joined Commerce in January 2000 as Trust Officer. Her background includes five years as an attorney in private practice with a concentration in estate planning, probate administration and business organizations. In her new position with The Commerce Trust Company, she will be responsible for the development of new investment management business for both personal and institutional clients.
Hinton is a 1987 summa cum laude graduate of National University, San Diego, California, and received her Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, with honors. She is a Persian Gulf War veteran with more than 17 years of active and reserve service in the United States Navy. Currently selected for promotion to Commander (0-5) in the Naval Reserves, she is a Surface Warfare Officer assigned to the U.S. Strategic Command, Offut A.F.B., as a Communications Officer in the Command Center.
Active in professional and civic organizations, Hinton is a member of Missouri Bar, the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA), SMBA Probate and Trust Committee and the Greene County Estate Planning Council. She is the Southwest Missouri board member for the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation and provides pro bono legal services to Legal Services of Southern Missouri.
