COMMERCE BANK ANNOUNCED OFFICER PROMOTIONS AND ELECTIONS
(KANSAS CITY, MO, October 30, 2001 - Commerce Bank, N.A. Kansas City announced the following officer promotions:
Mrs. Trishia Baker has been promoted to Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Finance department. As an Accounting Manager, she is responsible for a staff that performs audits, regulatory reporting, bank and ledger reconciliations. Mrs. Baker had been with Commerce Bank for 15 years. She is a Junior Achievement volunteer and has provided income tax assistance to the elderly. Mrs. Baker earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Park University, Parkville, Missouri.
Mr. Kevan F. Brewer, CPA, CISA has been elected Officer in the Audit department. His responsibilities include planning and completing Information Technology audits, serving as a consultant in IT projects meetings as well as assisting in fraud detection efforts. Mr. Brewer has been with Commerce Bank for 12 years. He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and a past member of the Missouri Society of CPA's. Mr. Brewer earned his Masters in Accounting and Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri.
Ms. Neila Demaree has been elected Officer in the Internal Audit department. As a Senior Audit Analyst, she is responsible for operational and financial auditing. She has been in the banking industry for nine years. Ms. Demaree earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas and her Masters and Bachelor of Science degrees in Education from Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas.
Mr. Corey S. Means, CFA has joined Commerce Bank as Assistant Vice President in The Commerce Trust Company. He serves as Portfolio Manager of personal and institutional trust accounts. He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the Kansas City Society of Financial Analysts. He is also a past Board Member and Planned Giving Chairman of the Greater Ozark Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Means earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri.
Mr. Jeff Sullivan has been elected Officer in the Small Business Banking department. He serves as a liaison for the retail staff and is also responsible for business development. Mr. Sullivan earned his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia College, Columbia, Missouri and his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri.
Mr. Kevin Whitmore has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Float and Transportation. He is responsible for Cash Letter Operations, Items Processing and Systems Maintenance as well as Float Analysis and Reporting. Mr. Whitmore has been with Commerce Bank for more than 14 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri.
