JULIE SHANNON JOINS COMMERCE BANK

(St. Louis, MO, October 30, 2001) - Commerce Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Shannon to the department of Retail Administration. Sue Hutchins, executive vice-president, director of retail administration made the announcement today.

Ms. Shannon is the Senior Partner Coordinator for the St. Louis Region and will be working out of the Clayton office. She previously worked for the Center for Financial Training and before that was the Club Director for Centennial Bank's St. Charles branch.
