COMMERCE BANK ANNOUNCES OFFICER PROMOTIONS

Lebanon, MO - March 29, 2005 - Brian Esther, community president, Commerce Bank, Lebanon, recently announced the following promotions:

Garry McClure has been promoted to senior vice president. McClure joined Commerce in 1984, and prior to his promotion served as vice president. His responsibilities include relationship management and business development related to the Commerce's agricultural lending and business banking products and services. McClure is a 1983 graduate of the College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, where he earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural business. Active in the community, he is Finance Committee chairman and board treasurer, Laclede County Development Training Center; past board member, Laclede County Mutual Insurance Association and University of Missouri Extension Council; past treasurer, Missouri Ozarks Community Action Association; past member, Optimist Club; past steering committee, Natural Resources and Conservation Service and past Agriculture Committee chairman, Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.

Monty Hays has been named commercial lender. An assistant vice president, Hays has 17 years of finance and lending experience and, prior to being named to commercial lender, he was a consumer lending officer and credit manager. A 1988 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, with a bachelor's degree in business administration, he is active in the community as a member of Optimist Club and treasurer of First Freewill Baptist Church.

Katrina Allen has been promoted to assistant vice president and retail branch manager. In her position she is responsible for business development and customer service related to the bank's full line of consumer banking, credit and lending products for Commerce's three locations in Lebanon. Allen has an associate degree in business administration from Drury University, Springfield, where she is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business. She has been with Commerce since 1997 and, prior to her promotion, she was a residential real estate specialist. Allen is active in civic and charitable organizations including class member, Laclede Leadership, and member, Kiwanis.

Marsha Kimrey has been promoted to assistant vice president and residential real estate specialist. In her position, she is responsible for business development and customer service related to the bank's full line of mortgage lending products, including fixed rate, adjustable rate, FHA, VA and jumbo home loan options. Kimrey joined Commerce in 1991 and, prior to her promotion, was a loan assistant. Active in the community, she is a member of Lions Club and committee member for American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
