COMMERCE BANK ANNOUNCES OFFICER ELECTIONS AND PROMOTIONS

KANSAS CITY, MO – March 13, 2006 – The Board of Directors of Commerce Bank, Kansas City, announced the following officer promotions and elections.

Brian Paugoulatos has been elected assistant vice president in the capital markets group where he serves as sales representative. He is responsible for institutional sales of fixed income securities to banks, corporations and individuals. Paugoulatos received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas with a double major in business administration and accounting. He has been with the bank since 2005.

Mark Hammett has been elected assistant vice president in the capital markets group. Hammett, a sales representative, is responsible for the sale of fixed income portfolio investments for banks, corporations and high-net-worth individuals. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and has been employed with Commerce for six years.

Chad Doza has been elected assistant vice president in the retail lending and payment systems department where he serves as portfolio manager in the consumer credit card marketing group. Doza’s responsibilities include the profitability and usage of the bank’s consumer credit card portfolio. He received a bachelor of science degree from Central Missouri State University and an MBA from the University of Kansas. Doza has been with Commerce since January of 2000.
