Springfield, MO - April 11, 2005 - John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield Region, recently announced that Commerce has purchased property at the southwest corner of South National and Lakewood Street where the Company will build a new south Springfield Banking Center. The bank acquired the property through R.B. Murray Associates. Ground breaking for the new facility is tentatively planned for spring 2006, with the Banking Center anticipated to open in early 2007.

We are extremely pleased to expand our presence in Springfield to better serve the needs of our customers and future customers."
Once complete, the south National Banking Center would be the seventh Springfield location for Commerce in the city limits and the nineteenth Banking Center in its region, including Nixa, Ozark, Branson, Republic, Willard, Bolivar and Lebanon.
