BLOOMINGTON, IL - April 20, 2004 - Commerce Bank announced a new executive leadership team today for the Bloomington Region. The new executive team includes Robert T. Fleming as Chairman of the Board, Gregg Hollabaugh as interim Market Manager for the Bloomington Region, and Joe Henderson, who continues as Market Manager for the Peoria Region.
Fleming has served as an advisory director in Bloomington for Commerce since 1995 when Commerce merged with The Peoples Bank. Hollabaugh will be assuming the Bloomington duties formerly held by Andrew Anderson and will office in Bloomington. Joe Henderson, Market Manager for the Peoria Region will join with Fleming and Hollabaugh to form Commerce's executive leadership team for Central Illinois. Both Hollabaugh and Henderson will report to Seth Leadbeater, Vice Chairman of Commerce Bancshares, Inc.
Hollabaugh, a 24-year veteran of Commerce, comes to this role from St. Louis where he has most recently been serving as Community Bank Administrator. Prior to his role in the Community Markets, Hollabaugh was a Group Manager in the St. Louis Region, managing in excess of $200 million in assets. His experience with both Business and Retail Banking, along with overall bank operations, will serve the market well during this transition.
Anderson has announced that he will be leaving the bank to spend more time with his family and to pursue other interests.
