Springfield, MO - May 6, 2005 - John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield region, recently announced that Sheri Shaffer has been promoted to vice president of Private Banking for The Commerce Trust Company, a division of Commerce Bank, N.A. In her new position, she is responsible for providing customized banking and borrowing solutions to professionals, executives and high net-worth individuals.
Shaffer has 20 years of banking and lending experience and most recently served as assistant vice president and small business banking specialist for Commerce. She also has served as a lender and private client relationship manager for the Springfield offices of a national bank. A 1985 graduate of Central Bible College, Shaffer is active with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Chamber's Small Business Advisory Council and Ambassadors Committee.
