PITTSBURG, KS - June 3, 2005 - Wendell Wilkinson, president, Commerce Bank, Pittsburg, announces that Brian K. Sutton has been promoted to executive vice president, including appointment to the bank's advisory board of directors. A commercial banker with more than 19 years of experience, his responsibilities will include overseeing relationship management and business development for Commerce's full line of business banking and lending services.
Sutton is a 1987 graduate of Missouri Southern State University, Joplin, with a bachelor's of science degree in finance and economics. He also received his masters degree in business administration from Pittsburg State University in 1989.
Active in civic and professional organizations, Sutton is a board member of The Rudd Foundation and Rotary. He is also a volunteer for initiatives that support United Way and the PSU Athletic Scholarship Drive.
