(Kansas City, Mo.) - Everyone knows that fat cats favor hefty wallets, and nothing says, “I’ve got it and you don’t,” like a new Garfield VISA card from Commerce Bank.
Commerce Bank, on June 1st, introduced the new Garfield VISA card. The new card capitalizes on the furry feline’s popularity, heightened to new levels with the first-ever full-length feature film, GARFIELD (Twentieth Century Fox.), slated to debut June 11th.
The VISA card is available in two different designs and new cardholders will be eligible to receive an exclusive travel mug when they use their new Garfield account. Garfield lovers may apply online for the feline's card at www.commercebank.com.
"We are pleased to team up with Garfield and his team to offer this great credit card to Garfield's loyal fans," said Ken Ragan, Executive Vice President of Retail Lending and Payment Systems with Commerce Bank. "With this special card, we hope our customers will enjoy the unique benefits, added value and financial convenience in a way that fits their playful lifestyle."
To celebrate the launch of the new cards, Commerce Bank is sponsoring "Garfield Day" at the Kansas City Royals game on June 27th. The first 10,000 children will receive a Garfield plush doll with a Royals jersey and bat. Garfield will also throw out the game’s opening pitch, providing he can be pulled away from the hot dog stand.
