Springfield, MO - June 15, 2004 - John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield region, recently announced that Tonya Hammons has been promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager of Commerce Bank's Republic Road Banking Center, 2770 W. Republic Road. Hammons has nine years of experience in banking and previously held positions in retail and human resources.
As branch manager, Hammons is responsible for business development and customer service related to the Bank's consumer banking, lending and small business services for the Republic Road location. She is a 2000 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, with a bachelor of science degree in human resource management and is currently pursuing a master's of business administration degree from Webster University. Hammons is an active volunteer with Commerce Bank's Partners in Education, United Way Charitable Giving Fund and American Cancer Society.
