KANSAS CITY, MO - June 21, 2004 - The Board of Directors of Commerce Bank, Kansas City, announced the following officer promotions and elections.
Chad Boline has been elected Assistant Vice President within the Information Technology Division, where he serves as Lead Network Engineer for the Server Team. He supervises a team of engineers in the enterprise-wide management of domains, file servers and application servers. Boline has been with Commerce Bank for eight years within the Information Technology Division of the Bank. He received a bachelor's of science degree in telecommunications management from DeVry Institute of Technology.
Jason Boyer has been elected Officer in the Commercial Division of the Bank, where he serves as a Correspondent Banking Relationship Manager. He is responsible for cultivating and delivering banking services to community banks throughout Missouri and Iowa. Boyer is a member of the Missouri Bankers Association, a volunteer for Junior Achievement and was a March of Dimes team captain in 2002. He received a bachelor's of business administration degree in management and management information systems and a master's in business administration from The University of Oklahoma.
Steven Brotherton has been elected Assistant Vice President in the Business Continuity Management Division of the bank, where he serves as a Business Continuity Management Planner. He is responsible for the overall administration of Business Continuity Management for Commerce Bank, including: assessment and escalation of non-credit risk, business impact analysis, recovery planning for
critical resources and more. Brotherton has been with Commerce Bank for four years within different divisions of the bank. He is a member of Disaster Recovery Institute International, American College of Forensic Examiners International and Partnership for Emergency Planning. Brotherton received a bachelor's of administration degree in accounting and industrial engineering from The University of Missouri - Kansas City. He also holds the professional distinction of Certified Business Continuity Professionals (CBCP).
Andrew Fent has been elected Officer in The Commerce Trust Company, a division of Commerce Bank, N.A., where he serves as an Equity Analyst. He is responsible for researching and preparing stock recommendations for Commerce mutual funds and client portfolios. Fent earned a bachelor's of arts degree in finance from Benedictine College.
Matt Schmitt has been elected Vice President in The Commerce Trust Company, a division of Commerce Bank, N.A., where he serves as a Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for managing the portfolio of individuals and institutional clients by setting their investment objectives and asset allocations. Schmitt has ten years of industry experience. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Kansas City Society of Financial Analysts. Schmitt earned a bachelor's of science degree in business administration from Drake University. He is also a CFA Level charter holder.
