Joseph Henderson Promoted to Market Manager in Peoria
Bloomington, IL - June 9, 2004 - Commerce Bank announced today that Robert O. Lakin has been named the President and Market Manager of the Bloomington Market and will also serve as President of the Illinois Region. Lakin has over 30 years of experience in commercial banking, including 12 years in Bloomington-Normal. For the last 11 years, Lakin has held various management positions with US Bank in Southern and Northern Illinois. Lakin earned his master's of business administration and bachelor's of science degrees at Illinois State University. Lakin and his wife have two sons, who live in the Central Illinois area.

Commerce also announced that Joseph Henderson, President in Peoria, has been additionally named Market Manager. Henderson has been with Commerce Bank for 25 years and has been in the Peoria region since 1995.

Lakin and Henderson, along with Sandra Beneventi, Senior Vice President and Illinois Retail Manger, Voni Flaherty, Senior Vice President and Illinois Market Manager for The Commerce Trust Company, Steve Sebade, Senior Vice President and Bloomington Commercial Team Leader, and Brent Eichelberger, Senior Vice President and Peoria Commercial Team Leader, comprise the senior management group for Commerce Bank in Illinois.
