Jerry Benson To Serve As Chairman of the Board
Lebanon, MO - July 15, 2004 - Commerce Bank announces Brian Esther has been promoted to community president of Commerce Bank of Lebanon. Jerry Benson, who made the official announcement, will continue serving with Commerce as chairman of the board.
Esther is a native and life-long resident of Lebanon with more than 20 years of experience at Commerce. His background includes serving in key positions with the Bank, most recently serving as vice president and commercial lender.
A 1976 graduate of Lebanon High School, Esther earned a bachelor's degree in business with a major in marketing and minor in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1980. Prior to establishing his banking career with Commerce, he spent several years working in the cattle industry as a producer, livestock dealer and commodity broker.
Active in the community, Esther served three terms as a member of the Lebanon R-3 School Board and, over the years, he has served numerous other civic and charitable organizations. Currently, he is an active member of Lebanon Rotary Club, the Lebanon Education Foundation Board, and the Lebanon Area Community Development Corporation.

Esther and his wife, Ginger, have two children, Cody, age 17 and Hayley age 14.
