SPRINGFIELD, MO – July 14, 2006 – John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield Region, recently announced the following promotions in the bank’s Commercial Division:
Mark Bybee has been promoted to senior vice president and team leader, Commercial Banking Division. Bybee is responsible for managing the Commercial team’s business development goals and overseeing relationship management related to the bank’s commercial lending and business banking products.
A graduate of Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Bybee received his bachelor’s of science degree in business administration in 1997, and his master’s degree in business administration in 1999. He is active in civic and charitable initiatives serving as a member of the United Way of the Ozark’s Allocation Committee, and member, Ozark Rotary Club.
Scott Tumlin has been promoted to vice president and commercial real estate lender. His responsibilities include developing and managing customer relationships related to the bank’s commercial real estate and residential construction lending products and services.
Tumlin is a 1994 graduate of Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Active in the community, he is a graduate of Leadership Springfield Class XXI; board member, Developmental Center of the Ozarks; executive committee member, Rotary Rock’n Ribs Children’s Charity Fundraiser, and president-elect, Rotary Club of North Springfield.
Byron Pierce has been promoted to assistant vice president and commercial lender. He is responsible for business development and relationship management related to the bank’s full line of banking, borrowing and treasury management solutions for Commercial clients.
Pierce is a 1999 graduate of McMurry University, Abilene, Texas, with a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration. Active in the community he is a member of Rotaract of Springfield. Additionally, he is involved in the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, currently serving on the Manufacturer Council and formerly serving on the Agricultural Committee.
