SAINT JOSEPH, MO - July 23, 2004 - Commerce Bank announced the election of Judy Sabbert-Muck and Peter Gray to the St. Joseph Board of Directors.
Judy Sabbert-Muck is the Chief Operating Officer of the Heartland Foundation, a public charity serving a 30-county region in northwest Missouri. Active in the community, she is a member of the Northside Community Center Steering Team and the St. Joseph Nature Center Partners. She is very active in various downtown revitalization efforts, the Success by Six Program, the YWCA, Girl Scouts, Pass the Power Literacy Program and many other community service endeavors.
"Judy's experience and commitment to the community will be a great asset to our Bank," said Emil Sechter, Community Bank President. "We are very pleased she chose to join our Board."
Sabbert-Muck earned a bachelor's of general studies and a master's of arts in human development and family life from The University of Kansas. She has also earned a master's of science degree in general administration from Central Michigan University.
Peter Gray serves as President and CEO of Gray Automotive. He has been with the company for the past 15 years, while serving in various capacitates. Gray is also the Chairman of the Board of Vektek Inc., a sister company of Gray Automotive with facilities in both St. Joseph and Emporia, Kan.
Gray is a native of St. Joe and serves on the Foundation Board for Missouri Western State College. "We are delighted Peter has joined our Commerce Bank Board," Sechter continued. "He has done an incredible job at Gray Automotive and we look forward to the benefit of his business insight."
Gray attended Missouri Western State College.
