MANHATTAN, KS - August 9, 2004 - Tanna Ewy has been named Vice President in the retail division of the bank. She is responsible for new business development and management of the sales strategy for the Manhattan retail staff. Ewy has been with Commerce Bank for almost seven years. Most recently she was the Senior Human Resources Representative for the Wichita region.
"Tanna is a great asset to the Commerce team in Manhattan," said Tom Giller, President, Commerce Bank. "We have experience working with her while she was in Wichita and enjoyed her enthusiasm and commitment to Commerce. We know this wonderful attitude will not only benefit our customers, but also all of the Commerce Bankers. We are excited to welcome her to Manhattan."
Ewy plans to be active in the Manhattan community once she has a chance to settle in. She is currently an Executive Board Member and President of the Center for Financial Training in Wichita. For the past four years Ewy has served as the Chairperson for the United Way of the Plains campaign and is also a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Ewy has a bachelor's of arts degree in Psychology from Kansas State University and is currently working towards her master's in industrial/organizational development from Kansas State University.
