(Kansas City, MO, September 1, 2006) – Kevin Barth, executive vice president of Commerce Bancshares, Inc., announced that Rick Lehrter has been named president of the Oklahoma Market.
Lehrter will focus on creating new commercial banking relationships for Commerce in the urban markets of Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Prior to joining Commerce, Lehrter successfully led a 138-person commercial banking group for a super-regional bank, and established a loan production office and full-service deposit-banking, investment, and commercial banking facility in Oklahoma for another publicly-traded bank.
“We’re very excited to have someone of Rick’s caliber and capability in this position,” Barth commented. “Rick’s 27 years of experience makes him ideally suited to lead our growth effort in the state of Oklahoma.”
Lehrter received his BA degree in Finance from Michigan State University, his MBA, with honors, from The University of Central Oklahoma, an advanced degree in Banking from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The University of Delaware, and his juris doctor, cum laude from The Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University. He has been a member of several bar associations including the State Bar of Michigan, and has been involved in numerous civic and charitable causes.
