Springfield, MO - September 15, 2005 -- John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield Region, recently announced that Dana Montgomery has joined Commerce as assistant vice president and Small Business Banking Specialist. In her position, she is responsible for implementing business development initiatives to further establish the bank's small business banking product package, offering customized lending, credit, and money management solutions for the small business owner/operator.
Montgomery received a bachelor's of science degree in communications and public relations in 2002 from Missouri State University. Prior to joining Commerce, her background included serving as Treasury Management Officer for a regional banking company, and Special Events Manager for Boys & Girls Town of Missouri.
Active in several civic and not-for-profit organizations, Montgomery is an Ambassador of Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and current member of Leadership Springfield Class XXI. Additionally, she is active in United Way of the Ozarks, Rotaract of Springfield, Junior League of Springfield, and Missouri Youth in Government where she serves as District Co-Coordinator.
