Springfield, MO - September 24, 2004 - John Himmel, chairman, Commerce Bank, Springfield region, recently announced that Sheri Shaffer has joined Commerce as assistant vice president and small business banking specialist. In her position, she is responsible for implementing business development initiatives to further establish the bank's small business banking product package, offering customized lending, credit, and money management solutions for the small business owner/operator.
Shaffer has more than 19 years of banking and lending experience and most recently served as a lender and private client relationship manager for the Springfield offices of a national bank. She is a 1985 graduate of Central Bible College. Active with the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Shaffer currently serves on the Chamber's Small Business Advisory Council and Ambassadors Committee.
