ST. LOUIS, MO - November 3, 2004 - Commerce Bank is pleased to announce Charles (Chuck) Mansell, Corporate Director of Security for Commerce Bancshares, Inc., has been promoted to Vice President. Chuck is based out of Clayton but has responsibility for security activities and programs throughout the entire Commerce Bank system. The announcement was made by Sara Foster, Senior Vice President and Director of Support Group Services for Commerce Bancshares, Inc.

Mansell joined Commerce Bank in 2003 as the Eastern Region Security Director, and has more than 11 years of experience in corporate bank security in addition to his 23 years in the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
