Ribbon made of $500 in twenty-dollar bills donated to South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children
ST. LOUIS, MO. (November 3, 2004) --- Commerce Bank has opened a new full-service Tower Grove branch, located at 3134 S. Grand, on the corner of South Grand and Hartford. The new banking center replaces the former Tower Grove branch located at this site and offers a complete range of retail, commercial and investment services.
Commerce Bank executives, along with Mayor Francis Slay and St. Louis City officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 to commemorate the branch's opening.
"This is an historic day for Commerce Bank and the Tower Grove community," said Slay. "This new branch exemplifies Commerce Bank's outstanding commitment to the growth of the Tower Grove community and to the people who live here."
The $500 ribbon for the ceremony was constructed of twenty-dollar bills and was presented to Jenna Bauer, Director, South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children. The not-for-profit organization is dedicated to providing a safe and educational environment for children to explore the Arts and also to strengthen the ties within the St. Louis neighborhood, it's families and it's youth.
