(St. Louis, MO - November 15, 2005) - Commerce Bank Executives, members of the West County Chamber of Commerce and community officials held a ground breaking ceremony Thursday to mark the construction of the new, free-standing building for the Commerce Bank Twin Oaks Banking Center, located at the intersection of Big Bend and Meramec Station Road.
The new Commerce Banking Center will provide full-service banking to individuals and businesses and will offer a complete range of retail, commercial and investment services. Construction of the facility will allow Commerce to better serve the West County area. The Twin Oaks branch is part of several new branches Commerce is opening on both sides of the Mississippi as part of a five-year plan started two years ago. Upon completion, the bank will include four drive-thru lanes, one ATM, and 3,400 sq. feet of floor space for tellers, financial services representatives, plus personal and commercial lending staff.
"This is a significant day for the Twin Oaks community and for Commerce Bank. As we break ground today, we're eager to begin serving Twin Oaks-area customers in the most efficient and effective way," said Nischbach. "We look forward to building value-added relationships with our customers and the community in which we live and work."
Construction began in October 2005, with plans to complete the Banking Center in Spring 2006. Arcturis is the architect for the project and Lawlor Construction is the general contractor.
