The Added Value of a Local Service Team

That's why your local Commerce service team is such a valuable resource. Headed up by two dedicated managers, your Relationship Manager and your Retirement Education Specialist, they're your assurance of timely, responsive service - from professionals empowered to deliver meaningful solutions.

As your key contact, your Relationship Manager is responsible for all phases of service delivery, including recordkeeping, administration and employee education. In addition, your Relationship Manager has direct network access to all plan and participant information. The other key member of your local service team, your Retirement Education Specialist, works closely with your Relationship Manager to establish a comprehensive communications program tailored to your plan. This includes all initial and subsequent group and individual participant meetings. Your team will meet with you annually to conduct a formal service review covering all aspects of your plan. Additional meetings may be scheduled at your discretion.

A Full Range of Trustee Services

Commerce Bank acts as plan trustee for Commerce Trust Company Retirement Services, offering a full range of fiduciary and custodial services. Through its agents, Commerce will provide the following:

  • Holding the assets of the plan in trust

  • Investing plan assets at the direction of the plan sponsor or plan participants

  • Reconciling financial activity

  • Processing distributions

  • Withholding income taxes

  • Preparing financial information for IRS and trust reporting
