What is a Master Promissory Note?

A Master Promissory Note (MPN) is the contract that you sign for a Federal Stafford, Graduate PLUS or Parent PLUS Loan, promising to pay your loan back. You may receive multiple loans under the same MPN over a ten-year period.

How do I complete an MPN?

Commerce offers two ways to complete and sign your MPN. Choose the method that's best for you.
