Kansas City, MO – April 16, 2021 – Commerce Bank announced today the appointment of Gary Goldsmith as vice president, insurance industry consultant – digital claims. Led by Leonard Richileau, vice president – industry consultant, claims payments, Goldsmith will be tasked with helping Commerce Bank expand its claims payment segment through securing trusted business relationships and long-term partnerships in the property and casualty insurance industry. He will provide guidance for customers through the deployment of CommercePayments™ cutting-edge solutions, offering stability and quality service to improve customers’ experience, increase associate engagement and refine loss adjustment expenses (LAE).
Commerce has reinvented the claims payment experience, establishing a way to provide single and multi-party electronic claims payments while giving insureds faster access to their funds. Customers, claimants and service providers are offered multiple claims payment options including ACH, check, or direct-to-debit card via Visa Direct.

Goldsmith’s most recent experience includes serving as vice president of business development for Takl. He brings extensive industry experience having worked nearly 17 years as the vice president of sales and account management with Copart, Inc., a global leader in online salvage auto auctions. Goldsmith earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and minor in psychology, from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
