Local Veterans to be Honored by Commerce Bank in November

St. Louis – Commerce Bank is honoring local veterans with a special recognition in November. Customers who are veterans are invited to visit a Commerce branch from November 3 through November 26, to receive a uniquely designed challenge coin, a military tradition, serving as a token of appreciation for their dedication, service and merit.

In addition to veterans being recognized with challenge coins, they are also encouraged to take a photo of their coin to post to social media and tag @CommerceBank. For each photo posted and tagged, Commerce will donate $10 (up to $5,000 total) to Veterans Community Project (VCP), a nonprofit with a mission of “veterans housing veterans, armed with the strength and support of the community.”

“We’re proud to recognize our veteran customers with challenge coins, serving as a symbol of pride and excellence,” said Adam Steven, director of retail banking, Commerce Bank. “This effort extends beyond recognition, reflecting our deep-rooted community commitment through contributions to VCP’s life-changing work to end homelessness among veterans through stable housing, access to essential services, and restoring hope for their futures.”

Encourage a veteran to stop by a Commerce Bank branch from November 3 through 26 to receive their honorary challenge coin.
