CommercePayments® Announces New Member Preferred Program with CFMA

KANSAS CITY, Mo.CommercePayments® today announced it has entered into a new agreement with the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) as a Member Preferred Program provider, further strengthening its role as a trusted financial partner to construction professionals nationwide.

Through CFMA’s Member Preferred Program, CommercePayments® will deliver its industry-leading payments and virtual credit card program directly to CFMA members — helping construction finance teams modernize payables, strengthen controls, and improve visibility across their financial operations. The program features a unique model designed to reinvest value back into CFMA’s chapter network, allowing chapters to benefit financially as members utilize established CommercePayments® solutions. These funds can be used to support education, programming, scholarships and other local initiatives.

“Becoming part of CFMA’s Member Preferred Program is a natural next step in our relationship,” said Rick Heise, executive director, CommercePayments®. “With Commerce Bank as a Principal Partner and CommercePayments® as a CFMA Member Preferred Program, we are able to engage with CFMA in a more holistic way — providing payments innovation and local chapter support to help construction financial leaders succeed.”

“For CFMA members, this program expands choice and access to a variety of electronic payments solutions,” said Neil Shah, CFMA’s president and CEO. “The CommercePayments® Member Preferred Program strongly aligns with CFMA's vision to be essential to the growth and success of construction financial professionals.”

Commerce Bank currently serves more than 1,300 construction clients nationwide and maintains a 97% client retention rate, underscoring its long-standing reputation for service excellence within the construction industry. The bank’s virtual credit card program and payments solutions are designed specifically to meet the needs of construction finance teams, helping streamline payables while maintaining strong controls and visibility.

As a CFMA Member Preferred Program provider, Commerce Bank will continue to work closely with CFMA chapters across the country — supporting events, education and local engagement while reinforcing the value of integrated banking and payments solutions tailored to construction finance professionals.

“This agreement reflects our shared belief that strong relationships should create value at every level,” added Heise. “We’re excited to collaborate with CFMA and its chapters to support the construction finance community.”
