Commerce Bank Mobile App FAQs

Attention iOS users:

To ensure that we're meeting the current standards for security and performance, the Commerce Bank Mobile App can only be updated on devices with iOS 12 or newer. To keep your app up-to-date, please update your device's operating system.
There is no fee from Commerce Bank to use the service. However, message and data usage fees apply; check with your wireless or VoIP provider for more information.

Android™ and iPhone® devices with the following Operating Systems are supported:

  • Android: Version 5.1 or later
  • Apple® iOS: Version 11.0 or later

On the login page, enter the same Customer ID and Password you use for Online Banking. If prompted, answer your challenge question or complete multi-factor authentication, then review and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Please contact us at 800-986-2265 if you don’t remember your Customer ID.
If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot?” link on the login page of the mobile app. Please provide the information requested and click “Continue.” Once your information is verified, you will be able to choose a new password.
By choosing “Remember Me” on your device, you will not be required to enter your Customer ID each time you log in to Mobile Banking (for that given device).

Yes, you can transfer funds between your eligible Commerce accounts using the mobile app. Click on the green menu button and then choose “Transfers.”
Click on the green menu button and then choose “Card Center.” You’ll have each of your cards listed; simply slide the button to lock or unlock each card.
You can add a photo on the “How can we help?” page. Click on the green menu button, select the image icon on the top right of your screen and then choose a photo from your library or take a new photo. You can also select the order in which your accounts are displayed on the Account Summary page. Just drag an account up or down in the list.
Yes, as long as your mobile carrier offers Internet service in the country you are visiting. Any additional charges from your carrier will apply (e.g. roaming, access, text charges, etc.).

Note: Commerce Mobile Deposit and Bill Pay aren't available outside the U.S.

Both Apple® and Android use versions of authentication technology. Depending on your model, your phone may use facial recognition or fingerprint authentication as a replacement for your password; this may be used to log in to our mobile app. Refer to your device’s user’s manual for additional information about this technology.

To set up Face ID, click on the green menu button, select Profile, Settings, & Alerts, select Use Face ID, and then click on the button to enable the feature.

We do not recommend activating Face ID or fingerprint login features if you share your phone or device with others. Anyone with access to your device can add a fingerprint to your device — and once added, that fingerprint can be used to access the Commerce Bank Mobile App, and any other apps that you’ve set up to use fingerprint authentication.

Instant Balance lets you take a quick peek at your account balance(s) without logging in first. Instant Balance is available to view in your phone’s widgets. Android users can view it from the app login screen. To set up Instant Balance, log in to the app, click on the green menu button, select Profile, Settings, & Alerts, click on Instant Balance and toggle the feature on. Then, choose the accounts you would like to view. In your iPhone®, you can choose up to five accounts and Android users can choose an unlimited number of accounts.
You can add and remove widgets and even reorder them so your favorite ones are at the top.
  1. Swipe right over the Home screen or Lock screen.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap “Edit.”
  3. To add a widget, tap the “Plus” sign. To remove a widget, tap the “Minus” sign. To reorder your widgets, touch and hold the horizontal lines next to the apps and drag them in the order that you want.
  4. To finish, tap “Done.”
  1. Press and hold the “Home Screen” until the Widgets option displays.
  2. Select Widgets and locate the Commerce Bank Mobile App.
  3. Select the app by tapping it and it will load to your Home Screen.

Please note that this feature is not password protected. Though your account number is always hidden, other people could see your balances if your device is lost or stolen.

We recommend you always keep your device’s password protection turned on.
