Extreme Late Fees Sends Wrong Message
As a long-time customer, I have paid my total balance due each and every month to avoid additional charges and late fees. I receive my monthly billing statements via USPS. If I do not receive a billing statement in time, I will miss making a timely payment. And, my account is automatically assessed a hefty late fee as well as additional interest charges. I find this practice to be predatory in nature and sends the wrong message. Commerce Bank is not interested in me as a customer for the past several decades, and they are not recognizing my loyalty. It says your organization is only focused on trying to squeeze as much money out of your customers as you possibly can. If you were truly a customer-service driven company, you should setup your automation processes to send a courteous check-in message for customers in good standing before you simply penalize them for late payment(s) that are the result of Post Office delays.
